Purpose of This Reference
Illinois law makes defined arrest information public, subject to limits, yet Union County does not currently link a public jail roster or booking feed. The sheriff may hold the booking record, a city police department may hold the incident report, the Circuit Clerk keeps the later case record, and IDOC covers people who enter state custody. We organize those official sources, practical lookup steps, and written-request routes without republishing booking photographs.
Information Available Here
The content is organized around the distinct records a reader may need:
- The countywide recent-arrest, jail-custody, warrant, mugshot, and records-request paths on the home page.
- Separate same-day and multi-day views that state plainly when no verified official feed exists.
- Instructions for checking Union County custody, Illinois VINE alerts, and IDOC offender information.
- Request guidance for booking records or photographs, including the difference between a police report and a detention record.
Limits of Our Role
Union County Recent Arrests is privately run. It is not connected with Union County, an Illinois sheriff, police department, jail, court, corrections department, or other government body.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange visits, or send funds for anyone.
- We do not provide legal advice or decide record-access rights.
- We cannot promise that an address, phone number, fee, or agency process has not changed.
Only the responsible sheriff, detention agency, corrections department, or court can confirm current custody, charges, release, or disposition.
